Community Guidelines
Last updated: April 23, 2026
nua is a social app for sharing what you watch, read, hear, eat, and do with the people who actually know you. These guidelines describe what’s welcome here and what isn’t, so everyone can recommend, disagree, and discover without making the space worse for anyone else.
By using nua you agree to follow these guidelines. Violations can result in content removal, temporary suspension, or permanent account termination.
What’s welcome
- Honest reviews. Say what you thought. Disagreement is fine; mean-spirited attacks are not.
- Your own photos. Pictures of meals, concerts, book covers, screenshots you captured yourself. All great.
- Friendly takes. Reacting to what friends post is core to nua. Keep takes constructive.
- Recommendations to specific friends. Sharing what you loved with the people who’d care is the whole point.
What’s not allowed
Sexual content
No nudity, pornography, or sexually explicit imagery in posts, photos, or direct messages. This applies even if the content appears in a movie or TV review. Crop or describe rather than show explicit material.
Violence and hate
No content that glorifies violence, targets individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age, or veteran status.
Harassment
No content that targets, threatens, or demeans another person, whether in posts, takes, direct messages, or comments. This includes targeted insults, sharing private information without consent (doxxing), stalking behaviours, and coordinated attacks.
Minors
Sexualised content involving minors is never allowed and will be reported to law enforcement. Photos of other people’s children require parental consent.
Self-harm
Content that promotes or glorifies self-harm, suicide, or eating disorders. If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out to a crisis line: findahelpline.com.
Illegal activity
No content promoting drug trafficking, human trafficking, weapons trafficking, or other illegal activity.
Spam and impersonation
No bot behaviour, no mass-created accounts, no impersonating other people or brands.
Intellectual property infringement
Don’t post content that infringes someone else’s copyright, trademark, or other IP rights. Reviews that reference commercial works (movies, books, music, etc.) are fine. Direct copies of protected material are not.
Misleading information
Don’t deliberately impersonate other nua users, don’t fabricate reviews, don’t manipulate rankings through coordinated fake posts.
Reporting and blocking
If you see a post, take, photo, or profile that violates these guidelines, use the Report button (⋮ menu on any piece of content). Reports are reviewed within 24 hours and same-day for severe violations (child safety, credible threats, doxxing). You can also Block a user from the same menu to hide their content from you immediately and prevent them from contacting you.
How to report
Tap the ⋮ menu on any post, take, or profile → Report. Choose the reason, add detail if you want. Reports are anonymous to the person you’re reporting.
You can also block anyone from the same menu. Blocking hides all of their content from you and prevents them from seeing yours or messaging you.
Our response
We review every report within 24 hours. Depending on what we find, we may:
- Remove the content
- Warn the user
- Suspend the account temporarily (typically 1 to 7 days)
- Permanently terminate the account
Severe violations (child safety, credible threats, doxxing) result in immediate permanent termination and, where appropriate, reports to law enforcement.
IP and takedown
If you are a rights holder and believe content on nua infringes your copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property rights, email info@zolta.ai with the subject “Copyright takedown” and include:
- The specific content (post, profile, or message URL/screenshot)
- A description of the work you own and the rights you claim
- Your contact information and a physical or electronic signature
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf
We review takedown requests within 24 hours. If your content was removed in response to a takedown and you believe it was sent in error, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address with the subject “Counter-notice” and a description of why you have the right to use the content. We’ll review counter-notices within five business days.
EU users may also submit notices about illegal content under the Digital Services Act to the same email; include the alleged illegal nature of the content, its URL, and your reasoning.
Appeals
If your content was removed or your account suspended and you believe it was a mistake, email info@zolta.ai with the subject “Appeal” and a description. We’ll re-review within five business days.
How we improve these rules
These guidelines evolve as we learn. Material changes are posted to this page with the update date above.
